We cannot even begin to describe how absolutely magical Madi and Michael’s luxury destination wedding was. The newlyweds said their ‘I Dos’ back in the summer at the gorgeous Haiku Mill in Maui in front of their closest friends and family. Madi and Michael are the type of bride and groom planners dream of working with. Their vibrant, youthful, fun, and kind personalities made it so enjoyable to collaborate with. This couple’s love story is unique: meeting in 7th grade, starting off as friends, and then jumping into a long-distance relationship as Madi is from New Zealand and Mike from Chicago. The two were just in college when they got engaged, making it a bit of a challenge to plan a wedding, especially with family on opposite sides of the globe.

Since this was an intimate wedding with only 12 guests, the vision was to create a personal, beautiful, and unforgettable day for all in attendance. Haiku Mill is a historical sugar mill built back in 1858, and named one of the most romantic wedding venues in the world by Luxury Retreats magazine. This venue is stunning as is with its overwhelming greenery, but we wanted to add unique elements to really have it exemplify the bride and groom’s vision. The soft and delicate color scheme (which happens to be Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year) Rose Quartz and Serenity, gave the tablescape, stationary, favors, and florals just the pop of color it needed. With pieces of gold and crystal, this wedding design was absolutely timeless down to the very last detail. We are so proud of this wedding design and production, and we hope you love it just as much too!
