Be our Guest: Creative Guest Book Ideas

DIY,   Natalie's Notes,   Seasonal Inspiration

Your wedding day is definitely a day you’ll never forget. It will all go by so quickly, walking down the aisle, exchanging vows, your first dance, and dancing the night away – all beautiful memories. Adding elements to your wedding for your guests to take part in is a wonderful way to cherish those memories and incorporate them into your future. We have picked a few of our most creative, unique, and fun guest book ideas from past weddings, most of which can be created by you! Enjoy!

Rustic Remembrance. A spin off of a classic guest book, this wood paneled frame is a great item to keep after the wedding day. Have guests sign their name and frame it in your home that way you always remember your special day.

A Geometric Touch. Geometric designs and patterns have become recently popular, especially in wedding design. Why not incorporate fun shapes into yours? Have guests sign with metallic pens for a modern and unique alternative to a standard guest book.

For the Globe Trotters. This is absolutely perfect for destination weddings. Our couples loved incorporating their hometown, favorite travel spots, and guests’ hometowns as well. Tip: have your guests write on a postcard and add it to the ‘mailbox.’ Have your wedding planner or Maid of Honor mail all the post cards to your home after the wedding. Once you return from the honeymoon, your mailbox will be full of love!

Adding Artwork. As newlyweds, this may be your first piece of artwork together, and it was created by those you love! Provide colored stamps and a pen for guests to write their name next to their fingerprint. We particularly love this adorable tandem bike graphic – other suggestions: a love tree, a dandelion, or a couple holding balloons.

The Perfect Fit. How creative and fun is this idea? Either have your loved ones write a sweet note on an already made puzzle, or have an assortment of puzzle pieces laid out on the table for guests to choose. We love this custom wooden puzzle from Catherine & Amber’s intimate wedding.

Rooted from Love. For our more organic weddings, we suggest taking a piece of nature and creating it into your own. Display it in your home as a great coffee table piece or outdoors on the patio!

Strike a Pose! This interactive idea seems to be a guest favorite. Take a polaroid and attach your picture to the guest book, with a sweet note next to it. This guest book idea is a fun way to involve guests in an enjoyable activity throughout the night!
