Tropical Elegance at Terranea Resort

Today we’re talking a walk down memory lane with one of our all-time favorite and unique wedding designs! The tropical theme featured dramatic floral installations, an elegant palm frond motif and a powerful yet playful color palette that echoed the couple’s fun-loving personality.

Sampled from California Wedding Day:

Lauren and Mike said their vows on Terranea Resort’s Catalina Point underneath an altar decadently draped with brightly hued florals as the Pacific Ocean sparkled in the background. Tall mercury glass vases filled with vibrant blooms atop wooden blocks flanked the couple. Because her guests were traveling to California from all over the country, Lauren wanted the wedding to evoke a tropical vacation. Inspired by Lauren’s vivacious personality and her love of sunsets, A Good Affair’s Natalie Good opted for a bold color palette of pinks, tangerines, purples and lush greens.

A stunning invitation suite designed by Natalie and created by East 6 introduced the bright palm leaves inspired design. Blush laser cut embellishments, gold accents and a custom wedding monogram set the tone for the gorgeous branded elements. Guests event received a mini bottle of champagne in a box stamped with the bride and groom’s monogram!

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour with modern lounge vignettes laden with gold touches and even exotic birds that posed for photos!

Entering the reception, guests were blow away by a complete transformation of the ballroom – transporting them to a tropical paradise full of bright colors, dramatic mood lighting and lavish table settings. A series of custom hanging orbs covered in greens and floral rings hung above tables. Other favorite design elements from this event included modern metallic gold linens and full-sized trees marking off the large dancefloor.
